Matra Drake Jordan died peacefully on May 19, 2025. A full obituary is pending and will be posted as soon it is available. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thusday, May 22, 2025 at the Fox & Weeks Hodgson Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Isle of Hope Baptist Church. A burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Bonaventure cemetery.
To Art and family...Our dear friend has finally been welcomed home to the eternal place promised through her faith in the resurrection of Christ. Matra was the pure example of a Christian in all her walks through life. Through her faith she influenced everyone blessed to be in her presence. She was a gift to us all and Angela and I are grateful for the years we had in glow of Matra. God bless you all in your time of grief. Please know that the grief is shared by all that knew her.
